We call them Germans!
And. . . .
VW is not alone. It turns out that many, perhaps all, of the European auto companies do something similar, although the way they do it may be different.
What a shocking surprise – the VW emissions scandal allows Portlander to leave passive-aggressive notes to prove his superiority.
I was waiting for someone to modify one of the signs ‘parking for zero or low emissions vehicles’ with a ‘VW clean diesels prohibited’ sticker.
That’s a shoe that I have not (yet) seen drop… and with private sales and resales and auction sales and even salvage title rebuilds… I’ve been looking for references and articles indicating that used diesel VWs recently purchased, or rebuilt and put on the road,
are being refused inspection stickers and registrations for the time being.
I don’t remember anything really happening to AUDI in the 80s during the “sudden acceleration” event except that the resale value of all their AUDI 5000 models dropped in price significantly (and a few college friends picked up nice cars for a bargain).
I know times have changed, and if this is how this event in 2015 is going to be handled, people sure do need to know about it.
So… if you’ve seen any article (maybe one that I’ve missed…?) indicating a hold on all VW Diesel inspection stickers or new registrations on used VW Diesel cars, or even any “VW diesel? Well, No Registration for You!” pissey DOT window responses,
could you please post a link to it here for us to all see?
