Microsoft released a parent’s primer to computer slang. This link was tossed around amongst the “1337z0rz” a while back because the descriptions can be pretty funny for someone from the subculture.
These are actually all folk etymologies. “pwned” is actually a Latin phrase, immortalized by Julius Caeser who, upon conquering Gaul, famously remarked, “Veni, vidi, pwned.”
