Well, here is the thing: All the way sounds like the way to go, but the chili and sausage gravy aren’t gonna go together. So, give me two plates, with All the way, except one deletes the chili and the other deletes the gravy. Does this make sense? ---

I love Waffle House hash browns! Therefore, I never add anything to them. I’ve tried them **Covered** , and I’ve tried them **Chunked** , and in each case the extra ingredient only took away from that great greasy potato taste rather than enhancing it. So, **Large, Scattered** is my order. A little sprinkle of salt, and mixed with any yolk runoff from my over-easy eggs… Mmmmm! (I might try **Smothered** one of these days, but I’ll only like it if they _really_ caramelize the onions. I’m not hopeful.) ---

Understood, but there literally is one like a quarter mile or so off i80 at US20/Reynolds Road. It’s about as close to the highway exit as you can get. So you have another option if you want to power through it. Then another four hours or so to Chicago. ---

I make them all the time, the kids love 'em, my wife eats 'em. The local breakfast place shoves a plate of three at you as a side no matter what you order. Not for me. But waffles? Now we’re talking. My first memories of associating butter with pancakes is from cartoons, specifically, [this Chilly Willy episode](https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4q5o3l).
