I have a project at work where it would be good if I could show statistics on how much various professions receive in wages in various countries. Like my subject says I am primarily interested in wages for professions like Nurses, Teachers, Doctors and other professions that here in Europe primarily are in the public sector. I have looked for information at OECD, ILO, various National Statstical Agencies etc (though somewhat restricted by the language barrier at times). I have searched in library databases and I have googled all the search terms I can think of. I have called the unions here in Sweden to ask them if they have any information on what their colleagues in other countries earn. But it seems I cannot find anything. So now I turn to my fellow Dopers to ask if anyone can help me. So if anyone knows of a good study or statistical source for this kind of information could you please point me in that direction. ---
