I set up a SDMB refugee camp at [http://www.teemings.org](http://www.teemings.org) . This is NOT intended as competition to the SDMB or any of the spinoff boards, but rather a place where Dopers can regroup if the worst happens. Really, it’s a board I hope you don’t have to use. ---

All righty, I’m registered over there. Hopefully this is all just a whole lot of worrying for nothing! ---

Me too, agree that I hope it’s just a failsafe but rather that than log on one day and find it’s gone, all gone. ---

And I. Will check there in the event of a blackout here. ---

> [@Siam\_Sam](#): > > Yet one more reason to hope for this Board’s survival Indeed, Sir. Regarding Elephant news, I visited the Riddle Elephant Sanctuary today and discovered that Max, featured in “Growing Up Elephant” on Animal Planet is seven feet tall. I hadn’t seen him in three months, yet it was quite a surprise. ---

I’ve registered at Teemings, so you can all stop crying and start saying “Oh, crap, who let that idiot in?” ---

Okay - all set up in case this dies on us. But I have chosen a scary avatar, just to make sure that people with power, like **SiamSam** and others will work hard and do deals with the Devil (Or CL) to keep this place open. ---

> [@Siam\_Sam](#): > > Still just a tyke, though. 😃 He has somewhat limited access to two adult Africans through a rail road tie fence. He tries to gore Willy, 14 feet high who giggles and gently guides his tusks away.🙂 I am reminded of the movie [Hud.](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057163/) [Previous page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/wait-a-sec-is-the-sdmb-on-the-verge-of-extinction/469905.md?page=4)
