# Waiting for Godot

I’ve read two antithetical interpretations of this play by Becket. One that the present is futile, and the other that the future is futile, the latter stating that waiting for the future is a useless endeavor and that we should live in the present. I’d be interested in viewpoints as to which, if any of those two, is correct and the reasons therefor. It could be argued either way, but I’m proned to agree with the latter viewpoint. Becket said you can interpret it any way you like.
