# Waitress fired from Applebee's for posting pastor's comments on receipt

A waitress who got tip-stiffed (hee hee) posted on Reddit the receipt where a pastor had written: “I give God 10%. Why do you get 18?”

Duuuuude. Boo on Applebee’s. Boo on the pastor. I guess boo on the waitress for posting anything that could identify the pastor (apparently her signature was recognizeable), but I’m bugged that she got fired. People who not only stiff their servers but make jerk-face comments in lieu of an actual tip should totally get blasted by the Internet.

I don’t think so. I think the pastor crossed out the auto-tip, replaced it with a $0 amount, then wrote that snarky comment about 10% to God, why 18% to the waitress.

And the restaurant, per clearly stated policy, charged the pastor for the tip anyway.
It’s correct that the waitress wasn’t really stiffed. The pastor did attempt to stiff her though.

It wasn’t even the Deadbeat’s server who was fired, it was another server who posted the receipt to Reddit.
