I’m in the third group. My preferred waking hours are from about 3 or 4 in the afternoon until 8 or 9 in the morning. The closer I stick to these hours the more alert and well adjusted I am.

I’m in there with **Commander Fortune**. Course, working from 11pm to 7am helps. 😃

I absolutely can’t stand day shifts, meaning I have to wake up for work. Afternoons and overnights are great. Get home, hit the bed, wake up whenever, assuming there is nothing to do (there usually isn’t).

What was the thirds group?

Anyway, i guess i’m the second group.I am most definately a night owl. I’ve been one since i was a baby, according to mom. I HATE getting up any earlier than 11 am, and i’ll sleep til 2 or 3 on weekends during school. However, during this break I was getting uo by 5 pm (i’d go to bed when the sun came up, and get up when it went down…keeping the hours of a vampire).

God forbid you wake me up at 7 or 8 am and want me to do a chore for you.I remember kind of yelling at dad one morning because he woke me up to use my phone line. I grumbled him it was connected to my computer and would have to untangle it from some other cords. So there I was trying to untangle cords when he goes "Oh, i can unhook it from the hall (there’s a connector connecting the line running from the jack, to an extension running into my room). Suffice to say I was not happy. I’ll also grumble and moan while I hit the pillows and curse the morning. But after I get going i’m fine. And yes, I despise you morning people. Quit asking me what I think about the morning…i’d rather be in bed.

I am NOT a morning person. Even before I got sick, I could never wake up on time. People tell me now “Go to bed early, get into a pattern, and you’ll be able to get up in the morning.” Well, if 12 years of school wasn’t enough to get me into a pattern of waking up at a reasonable time, then going to bed early isn’t going to help. Besides, if I go to bed when I’m not tired enough, I stay awake all night, and get into a foul mood besides. I stay up until I’m about to drop from exhaustion, and then I go to bed, and read until fall asleep - I used to sleep with my lamp on and my book under my pillow because I’d only shut down to sleep when I was too tired to stick the book on the bedside table.
Since I got sick, I’ve been worse. I fall into bad sleeping habits easier than good sleeping habits, and I find that I always feel more alert and energetic at night. I tend to sleep from 5am to 3pm at the moment, but this changes all the time. I can’t cope with less than 10 hours sleep a night. I wake up feeling like I haven’t been to bed. I can sleep through alarms - don’t even hit the snooze button, my record is one and a half hours of the alarm going off, and I only woke up because the phone rang 🙂 I honestly wasn’t disturbed at all by the alarm.
I think I have a serious sleep disorder!

I’m impossible to get up…once, my bunkmates had to nearly dump me, and my matress into the lake to wake me

Definitely a night owl, forced by hideous circumstance (i.e. earning a living) into an unnatural pattern of daytime functioning.

I _hate_ mornings. Dusk is beautiful; never seen a dawn yet that was. Oh, I get up but I hate every miserable, annoying second of it. I have to shower in the morning, because it’s the only thing that really wakes me up and persuades me not to climb a water tower with an assault rifle.

Breakfast? Like in eating food? :::gags::: No way. Pump some caffeine into me quickly to re-animate the corpse but no food looks remotely appetizing for at least an hour.

Let’s just say that cheery 7 a.m. breakfast meetings are the invention of hellspawn.

First group definitely.

I am so sorry that things won’t work out between us TV. First Martha Stewart, now sunrises.

May I still harbor a crush?😉
