You get up, brush your teeth, grab some coffee and sit down at your computer while your your brain reboots. Where do you go? Me: The Straight Dope, natch. [Pocket Tactics](http://pockettactics.com/), for iPad’s newest attempts at wargaming…they’re getting better. [Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/home.php) just to see where and when the group is meeting and doing that night. [The Onion](http://www.theonion.com/) and [Cracked](http://www.cracked.com/) just for kicks. [The HUffington Post](http://www.huffingtonpost.com/) just to see the scandal of the day. ---

Facebook. Drudge. Don’t judge the Drudge…it’s good for quick summary of hot-button topics. Weather. Used to check e-mail, but that hits my phone now so I rarely do it from my computer. LivingSocial/Groupon. Dope is last. I have to get the brain in gear first. ---

First thing is check bank balances, although now I use the phone. Check my call stats from previous day, sometimes I use the tab. Catch up on _Words with Friends_, that’s on the tab. Then it’s a toss up between here and Facebook. I seldom post on Facebook, I just look to see if anything important is happening. Quick browse through here to see if anything looks exciting. Log in to work. Come back here to browse.alternating with playing _Words with Friends_ in between calls. Play a few games of 5 Card Slingo. All while watching TV. I need to stop playing, the call center wants me to write a few articles for their blog. I don’t _have_ to but they will pay me. ---

Email and Twitter are the 2 main ones. I dont do Facebook. It is surprising how Twitter has come to be a good catch-all for what is going on. I also check a news source either CNN, NY Times or BBC. On alot of days I check Pitchfork and the AV Club for music and movie stuff. ---

In the morning? Mostly just the weather, plus e-mail if I have reason to suspect there might be something important in there, plus possibly one or two webcomics if I have time. Most of my webbing lately has been in the evenings. ---
