Makes me wonder why her Mom kept calling and or messaging her at work. I guess we do live in an age now where people are on their phone all the time even at work, but I wonder if she was in particular worried about something, makes it sound nefarious.
It’s unlikely any sane person would walk into a hot oven.
The cops must be investigating how it got turned on with the door shut.
Maybe they were actively discussing something. But, yes, people are on their phone all days. Even at work or school, it’s more or less normal to be using your phone throughout the day. When my daughter was in high school, I could text her and expect a reply within an hour or so. (Back in my day, even possessing a pager, was grounds for suspension or expulsion because drugs).
It may be that her mother expected her home earlier and started calling once the daughter was late. I don’t want to speculate but I hope the police are reviewing the security camera footage.
She wasn’t cooling her heels either.
At the baking institute where I had professional training there was an oven that we’d have to go inside for periodic cleaning. Never any accidents. But it was a messy and unpopular task. One time it was the turn of this one guy who was about fifty, from Egypt. He thought himself above such tasks and got out of it by claiming it was an Islamic daily prayer time. That happened more than once when it was time for his turn for clean ups. The classmate from Pakistan was Muslim and quite devout, but he never tried to use religion to get out of his share of tasks.
Again, nothing in the released info posted here says that she died in the oven or that it was the cause of her death. She could have been killed elsewhere and her body placed inside and the oven turned on.
Fair point. What’s known so far is that she was dead and in the oven at the same time. Causation (“She died because she was in the oven”) has not been reported or stated.
