# Walt Disney: Fascist?

In the SD staff report on Walt Disney ([http://www.straightdope.com/mailbag/mdisneyfascist.html](http://www.straightdope.com/mailbag/mdisneyfascist.html)), Eutychus mentioned the short “Der Fuerher’s Face.” I’m not sure how that one could be taken as pro-Nazi, since the song (performed by Spike Jones) pretty blatantly (if benignly) makes fun of Hitler. The chorus is “So we heil (fart sound), heil (fart sound), right in der fuerher’s face.”

Just MHO.

Indeed. If you can see _Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas_ as pro-drug, seeing that cartoon as pro-Hitler isn’t far off.

Apparently, some people are willing to take any mention of a topic as an endorsement of that topic unless it’s them doing the mentioning.
