Director Hayward directly states that Vision is a sentient weapon, not a person. Which is how SWORD wound up with his body, disassembling it and trying to figure out how it worked and how to reactivate it. The real question is probably how they kept Vision’s body out of Wakanda’s hands. The “six billion dollars of vibranium” that makes up his body was originally stolen from them, so they’ve got the best claims to the remains if they’re not going to be considered human. Also, they’re pretty famously keen about not letting vibranium fall into other people’s hands. And if the US government doesn’t want to co-operate, they’re in a pretty unique position of being able to act unilaterally to reclaim Vison’s body, and not being too concerned about what the US government’s response is going to be. ---

In the comics…like Galactus…I THINK Dormmammu made a promise not to attack from time to time. Or shit…maybe he had his hands full with the Mindless Ones. That shit was always happening. So…behind the scenes, Elizabeth said there was a ‘Skywalker-like cameo’ due. And Bettany said there was going to be a guest appearance with ‘someone he’d always wanted to work with.’ Speculation is now he was taking the piss and was talking about himself. I had a halfass theory that the dude Darcy punched was Hawkeye since in the comics Hawkeye is the only unaccounted for Avenger who has a connection with Wanda. My dumb theory was that he was about to infiltrate the hex in disguise when it expanded still leaving him 'in disguise. Which is why he was so manic about Vision and Darcy ‘being up’. “You’re up. We’re counting on you” BUT it would require another flashback and we have to be done with those. Its been a great ride. I miss ‘watercooler shows’ like this and Game of Thrones. ---

Someone asked her if there was a big deal character coming, and she said “Yes.” At that stage it was before Pietro appeared, so it’s possible she was referring to him. In any case, I think it was not necessarily enough of a horse’s mouth quote to get too worked up about. It’s likely nothing or passed already. ---

I’ve heard that the super guest star is either Mephisto or Nightmare, as played by Al Pacino, but it’s just speculation and unlikely, especially this late in the show. ---

This is why a dear friend texted me bright and early Saturday morning warning me NOT to watch the episode just yet, to wait until I was with someone. Now I understand why. Going into that without warning would have wiped me out for a week. Some things are still a bit raw. ---

My personal head canon is that Strange managed to get a message to him somehow before the Snap, and he spent those five years getting ready for the battle. That’s why they were able to muster everyone up so quickly. ---

Disney has posted a promo picture for episode nine that is a bit of a spoiler if it’s real. (as opposed to a dream, or one of those trailer/promo pictures that has something not actually in the film/TV show) ---
