# Wanna see where "Family Guy" came from?

Yeah, saw that earlier. Interesting to see the few jokes included in the real Family Guy as a throwback.

Seth McFarlane also produced an original short for Cartoon Network called _Larry and Steve_, which featured a dumb human and his smarter-than-the-owner talking dog (although G-rated, of course). The voices he used to perform Larry and Steve are the same as those he would later use for Peter and Brian. (McFarlane worked for Hanna-Barbera early in his career.)
