My husband and I ordered 2 medium pizzas from Domino’s tonight. As always, the toppings were where they belong on arrival. And I doubt OP hails from meaner streets than the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles. We have virtually no protected left turns, so you basically have to just enter the intersection and then wait for the light to turn red so traffic from the opposite direction stops, and then jam on the gas to swing wildly out of the way of cross-traffic. The local underwritten rule is that two cars get to do this per light cycle. We also have potholes that could swallow a Prius. I’ve driven in Mexico and envy their roads. Yet somehow… Anyhoo, it’s been interesting to see the history of OP’s bizarre pizza obsession. A hearty thanks to everyone for their detective work! This is just the sort of distraction I need to keep my mind occupied right now. ---

LOL! And that should’ve been “unwritten rule,” not “underwritten.” Do not expect your insurer to cover you if you get into an accident doing this. But do report back on how any pizzas in your car fared. ---

I suspect it’s the way a driver handles the pies rather than the way he handles his car that accounts for wayward toppings. The biggest sin is holding the delivery with one hand and a hip while walking. ---

The OP will be pleased to know that when I order my two medium pizzas, I also order an order of chicken and an order of bite-sized breadsticks which come in rectangular boxes that could be placed at the sides of the pizza boxes and prevent sliding. He will also be pleased to know that when I place this order I always go pick it up myself, because Dominos can take their “delivery fee that is not given as a tip to the driver” and shove it where the sun don’t shine. So I am doing my part to help the OP become unemployed, if that is what he so desires.
