I would do it, but it’s still kind of lame. I would be more impressed if the thing spiraled around the entire building before landing on the platform. The slide in the link looks better suited for kids. ---

I have no doubt that the glass is plenty strong enough. I have some doubts that those piddly little steel clips holding the glass are so very overspecified for the task.
