So, I go outside to jump in my truck, and go get some lunch. Since the parking lot at the office is somewhat tight, I always do a rudimentary exam of it as I walk around to the driver’s side. So, this time, I go out there, and I appear to suddenly be missing two of my hubcaps. Well, center caps, anyway. It’s nice. Now, in the middle of two of my wheels, there is a gaping hole. Mad? Yes. Do I know where they are? Nope. Could be stolen, could have come off during an off-the-paved-road excursion this morning. How much will it cost me to get them replaced before the snow comes? Beats the hell out of me. I am not in a good mood. ☹ ---

You can always call up Hubcap Annie, the largest selection of hubcaps west of the Mississippi according to their commercial up there in Denver. Of course it could be Dealin Doug sending out people to steal Dodge parts so you have to run by their auto store. You work in a pretty okay end of town, I wonder why anyone would steal those? Weird. ---

Not to spread any rumors, but there is a fair chance Hubcap Annie’s has your exact hubcaps. Supposedly they don’t do that anymore though. ---

Blu, if you’re wearing a bra made from these hubcaps, I’d like to see you in it. They’re only about the same circumference as, say, a beer can. That’s a whole lotta exposure. If you were to put double sided tape on the back, you could use them more effectively as pasties. ---

Well, I was going to steal both of the hubcaps too, but I saw you coming and split. I was going to use the caps as metal nipple-shields, with the hubcaps as the actual cups. 🙂 Rose ---

This is more like a center cap. It’s roughly the same size around as a beer can, and fits in at the junction of the mags. [Take a look.](http://www.geocities.com/brian_stringer/cynitruck.jpg) You’ll see in the center, inside the area of the bolts that hold the wheel on, a circle. THAT is the cap. Still don’t know how much it’ll cost to replace them. I took a drive at lunch to try and find them, but struck out. Oh well. Brian P.S. Clogboy, the word you wanted to use was STEAL. I’m not sure if this is exactly what Mr. Cynical is talking about, cause I can’t quite tell from the picture, but what he describes a lot like an actual hub cap. A small cap that just covers the wheel hub sticking out. What most people call a hub cap is actually a wheel cover. ---

Back in my less illustrious days, my friend and I stole two absolutely huge boxes of what we _thought_ were wheel covers. They ended up being hub caps and beauty rings. ☹ How we got rid of them is another story altogether. –Tim ---

I should have thought about it. now that I do, I realize that the only way that I could have used the “nym” sound was if the word was actually descriptive of you. Namely, **NIM** rod. (how’s that for a homophone?) 😃 And wolfman, you’re spot on. All it covers is the hub itself, versus the wheel.
