Wow, **sari** , I thought going to the dog park was a fun outing, not a drama fest. Dang about the finger ouchie! Thanks everyone for the nice words about my needleirk. Mom and I are both thrilled at how clear the 30 year old instructions are considering how much is going on with this piece. The hand done charts produced pre-computer age can be rather frustrating at times. There is an area in Prescott with beautiful old Victorian houses and I think I’ve seen a pink and light blue house there. There is a wonderful lavender house and a green one along with whites and yellows. I’ll take some pics when I’m there next, they go all our for Christmas. Tomorrow, after I take Mom to the airport I will be going to my favorite needlework store to get supplies for my next project. It’s going to be done on cross stitch fabric which means I can’t see what’s happening on the back without flipping the hoop over. I’m fairly certain bad words will happen on a regular basis. ---

Evening all. Mickey D’s provided the evening sustenance (Monday’s are my eat-out day, the rest of the week tends to be from the refrigerator) and I did do a (modest) amount of cleaning today, so there is that. Glad you are feeling better, **swampy** **Sari** , unfortunately once you have a group doing things, drama will arise…I think it’s one of the fundamental laws of the universe or something…hope things calm down. And hope somebody (if necessary, the police) clues Mr. Un-Neutered in on things. Hope hands heal. **nellie** , ooh, I took the Cascades from Seattle to Vancouver once. Lovely trip. OK, do need to put the dishes away from the dishwasher (so I can put the several dirty dishes in it). All y’all take care–we’re over 60 posts for a Moanday–that’s gotta be near a record. ---

Daughter may get to go home tomorrow – it all depends on Toby’s blood sugar numbers. They were lower than the doc wanted. So we shall see… Roxy made me read _The Cat in The Hat_ TWICE!! That’s a long book for two reads in a row, but I did, because I’m nice, dammit. She’s tucked in and I hope she drops off soon, because I plan to. I don’t function long on 3 hours of sleep. Dinner’s in an hour - I have one of those little bitty Cornish hens roasting on top of onions and potatoes. Need to peel this garlic sitting in front of me so I can toss it into the pan. Ye gods, I love roasted garlic. Also have trash that needs to go out … but the big bin is still at the curb, and it’s daaaark and colllllllld out! { _pose of utter woe_ } **Charm** has freshly shed, and is stunning in her new jacket. **Monkey** is being a butthead. I tossed him & **Nikki** treats for them to chase, but he persists in his buttheadery. … speaking of which, do I owe y’all any pictures? I can’t remember whom you’ve seen. ---

DH and I checked out the local Cracker Barrel today. I liked the food, but about half came home with us (couldn’t quite get around the cheeseburger, let alone sides). Much idiocy on the local roads, with a stupidity singularity at the gas station. NO ONE could manage to not block traffic, aside from DH. Also, WHY would someone just leave an unoccupied vehicle AT PUMPS THEY’RE NOT USING for over 10 minutes? That created some serious problems for anyone else needing access to diesel or E85, since dumbass was doing a great job of blocking one whole side of that island. @purplehorseshoe, when in doubt, always post the pet pics :). Ratties are also welcome, but please warn the ophidiophobes about pictures of the snakeys. 🙂 ---

FIIIIINNNNNE! I have rolled the trash bin back, taken out some trash to it, and even hauled fresh litter downstairs to the basement for the secondary box. I’ve also peeled a buncha garlic & tossed it into the pan under the hen. { _holds out hand_ } Where’s my sticker? { _childish whine_ } I _did_ things, dammit! **Monkey** has decided to redeem himself & is cuddling on my chair with me. I’m watching “Lucifer” on Netflix - my gods that man is easy on the eyes - while waiting for my damn hen to cook. Okay, screw the sticker. A handsome actor on my TV and a purring cat on my hip are sufficient rewards, I suppose. ---

Up, showered, dressed, fed, and surprised - Roxy got up at 6:30. She’s having some cinnamon toast at the moment while watching Blaze and the Monster Machines. Her early rise threw my routine off a bit, but I took care of everything I needed to do. It’s a frosty 34°, which I know because of the magic of fresh batteries in the sending unit! 😉 We’re getting our semi-annual HVAC checkup today, and they could come as early as 7:30, which is when I have to leave, so I need to roust **FCD** to stand by. And just now, Roxy hugged me and told me I’m her best friend. AWWWWWW!! 🥰 Fingers crossed that Daughter is discharged today. I know she wants to get home, and I’ll be glad to send Roxy back to her. The child does wear me ragged! Even having her between school and bedtime is a workout. I did get some quiet time with her going thru photos of Baby Roxy - she liked looking at herself. The next big thing will be meeting Toby in person - big for all of us! And so the day begins. Happy Tuesday!! ---

Good morning everyone. It definitely became very stormy during the day, but I was fortunate; just a couple of power flickers and that was it. Well, and lots of fir tree branches in the yard again. Meanwhile up north in Skagit and Whatcom counties they have a state of emergency, severe flooding, and all manner of woes. One of my offices is up in Skagit county, so I’ll have to check on the folks who work there. Mostly everyone is still teleworking, but they may be impacted by flooding or winds at their homes too. The power went out at the main state office, so the few folks who were there went home. And, the craziest thing was the cat that was way high up in the fir tree behind my house. When I saw that cat I understood why I had a such a time getting Polar indoors yesterday morning. That poor cat was up in the tree while it was swaying crazily in the wind and it was pouring. He was up there for hours, but he must have eventually gotten down because I didn’t see him up there after two in the afternoon. I hope he got down safely because he was way up there. **FCM** , I sure hope your daughter and Tobias get to come today. I know you’re just dying to snuggle him! Work was absolutely bonkers and today will be the same.
