Alright. Come on. Which of you is keeping this show on the air?
Seriously, out of all the new series, this this the one anybody would’ve bet their live savings that it would be canceled by midseason. How is this show surviving “Free Ride” (which was also awful, but at least the lead was cute)?

The Mom has nice rack.

This show just has a nice time slot. Something to occupy between The Simpsons and The Sopranos (or Desperate Housewives). Definitely not something I’d follow around.

Exactly. The daughter is yummy in your typical too-skinny teen sort of way, but the mother actually looks like a **REAL** woman. Attractive and busty, yes, but not with a 22" waist.

Apart from that? I don’t know, I’ve got nothing.

Daughter and all the other girls they have one the show are jail-bait. That’s why I left her and her friends out. It’s all about the Mom. I understand the show is supposed to be funny, but I ain’t gettin’ it. This show simply benefits from its time slot.

Actually, [Kaylee DeFer](http://us.imdb.com/name/nm1560236/) isn’t jailbat. Hasn’t been for a little while.

And, looking, her birthday is only a day from mine. Go September!

Bah! If two people could keep a show on, **Firefly** would be on forever.

Fact of the matter is that it’s being bouyed by its time slot and Fox doesn’t have anything else to put on there that they think will keep afloat.

See also NBC and “Joey”.

I have to agree. Once in a while I accidentally tune in; the mom keeps me from tuning out. Otherwise, the show’s a complete dog; that rack’s what keeps me glued.

I’m also going to have to go with the time slot idea.

The daughter’s hot, I don’t think the mom’s attractive, but I watch it mainly because I’m too damn lazy to look for something else between “The Simpsons” and “Family Guy.”

And the show isn’t _that_ bad if you shut off your brain.

Niether the rack nor time slot isnt good enough to keep me watching… it starts, I switch over to whatever happens to be on the Cartoon Network, then switch back for Family Guy.

That show has absolutely no redeeming qualities.

Yep. It comes on after The Simpsons and before The Sopranos. Too lazy to flip channels for 30 minutes, so it’s on in our house. It is dire, though, and I feel brain cells dying when I watch (usually, it’s just on, we’re in the kitchen or the laundry room). Fox has really flogged the dysfunctional family horse to death. It does seem that many of the Fox shows that have been cancelled would fare well there. I think it’s also a cheap-assed show for the network, which explains why it’s still on.

I’m pretty sure I could excrete a better sitcom than this, but Michael Rappaport needs work, right?

Mom _is_ hot, though.

I used to think Will Ferrell was the least funny man on the planet, but then I saw “The War at Home,” and Michael Rapaport.

Why did they build a sitcom around someone who has no funny? It’s like producing a sitcom starring Dick Cheney or Janet Reno.

That’s the problem with comparisons like these. Think about it a minute. Imagine Reno sticking the end of her umbrella through the cigar butt that Cheney just tossed on the ground. That’s funny. A hell of a lot funnier than The War At Home will ever imagine being.

Yeah, but a sitcom starring Dick “Hide the Shotguns” Cheney and Janet Reno would at least be (unontentionally) funny…

TWOH is a unfunny, soul-sucking mess, the _only_ thing that keeps it alive is that most viewers are too lazy to change the channel between the Simpsons and Family Guy…

Me, i change the TV tuner to pull in a dead channel, the blue screen of a dead channel is far more compelling, has a more coherent plot, is better written, and is eminently more watchable than the “comedy” abortion called TWOH…

I like the show, mainly because I like ogling the hot women.

I used to think that the Arrested Development fans’ superiority complex was the most blatant example of insufferable elitism. But now I’m thinking the War At Home haters are making a run for the title.

Admit it, you guys complaining about how horrible it is are just bitter Arrested Development fans, aren’t you?

The best part is the many of you are feeling superior because you prefer to watch _cartoons_. It is to laugh.

It’s probably also extremely cheap to produce. They don’t have anything good to put on, so at least they’re not wasting more money than necessary.

They could be on at different times on different days on different channels and it wouldn’t change the fact that AD is one of the greatest shows of all time and TWaH is, to use a quote from Rappaport, “as funny as a dead baby.”
