# War destroys world's largest airplane

Damn, that’s too bad. I’m glad I had a chance to see it when it hauled some freight in and out of my city.

I’m quite bummed. It attracted quite a crowd when it was at MSP. Really an amazing structure.

There’s hope - there is a second plane which is about 70% complete and the Ukrainian president has vowed it will be completed.

These planes are ‘left-overs’ from the Soviet space program - they were built in the late '80s to carry the ‘Buran’ (The Russian rip-off of the space shuttle).

Whether or not it is resurrected remains to be seen but I certainly hope so - a magnificent sight especially when taking off.
