# Warehouse 13

Did anyone see it last night?
I caught about 1/2 of it. I’m mixed. The concept is interesting - it has the ‘lost room’ vibe to it. The execution seemed very slow and the pacing was off.
I mean, they seem like inventory clerks - at least that’s what I felt 1/2 way through. Inventory clerks (no offense) just don’t perk my interest…

I’ll probably continue to watch it only because there is a lack of other shows for me to kill time watching.
The pilot isn’t setting it up to be anything new or original. I’ve liked a few other series that had similar plots. ‘Friday the 13th The Series’ comes to mind.
So far none of the characters stand out as interesting.
I don’t see anything unique or lasting coming out of this one.

I actually found the characters a little too formulaic. I was thinking of Bones, a touch X-files, etc.

I liked it, and will continue to watch. The plot has been done before, but perhaps it will continue to be interesting for a while. The stem punk communicators were cool. 🙂

I thought it was okay, and I’ll keep reminding myself that the first season of \*Buffy \*was pretty rocky, as well. The female lead is smokin’, so I’ll probably keep watching. 🙂
That zipline scene? I just chalk it up as this show’s “magic hologram machine” from _Bones_. Hopefully they never use it ever again. One thing really bugged me, though- a warehouse that big should have a staff to maintain it. Yeah, I know, most everything in there is dangerous in some way… but it just really strains credulity for it to kept up by one guy.

It felt like X-Files/Fringe meets Eureka meets Ghostbusters.
So I liked it. Pilot episodes are rarely that amazing, so I’ll give it a chance.

And also “The Librarian” tv movies with Noah Wylie, except those were more fun.

I’ll second ‘Bones’ simply because the guy Pete was just like Booth. Same goofy exterior played against the scientific geekiness of Brennan. I kept thinking that it was just Bones on Syfy.

It wasn’t bad. I’ll continue watching for a while. I’m not sure about the head warehouse guy, though. Are they trying to make him oddball curator guy or eccentric scientist curator guy?

Not to mention the fact that they give the guy a zipline to go fetch an item, but nothing (not even a hand dolly!) to haul it back to the office!!

I watched and enjoyed it. I liked the humor and found it interesting enough to watch again next week.
I got a kick out of the ferret producing kettle and thought the weird “old” technology was pretty cool. Inventive, I thought.

There were originally like 6 or 7 people, who variously died or went missing and that schlub is the only one left, which is why the head honchette got 2 new people to help.
Ill watch it for a couple more episodes to see how it shakes out. If nothing else, it will fill up an hour on tuesday =)

I liked the set up but found the actual plot of the episode, Borgia’s Magic Comb, to be boring as hell.
The girl looks very pretty with her hair pulled back… she looks cro-magnon.
I missed some bits of quieter dialogue in the episode…what exactly did Houdini’s wallet do to her?
And am I right in assuming that the warehouse exists outside of space/time which explains the longer life spans of those involved?

I believe it let her speak with a dead lover, the guy who “woke her up” after the crash. Houdini attempted to contact his Mother after she died as I recall.

Took me a couple days of hunting for it, but I finally found it.
If you all feel like wasting half a day, here’s what I believe must be the genesis of the show’s premise, the [Warehouse 23 Basement](http://www.warehouse23.com/basement/). Some goofy RPG-related stuff in there, but there’s some really neat stuff too.

CC Pounder’s character was said to have been made head of a department back in the 50s. Girl Agent said “That can’t be her, this woman was younger.” Sure Pounder isn’t a spring chicken but she’s not THAT old.
Artie’s picture of the former agents and a skinnier younger version of himself, also looked like a picture from the 50s..maybe 60s. Artie looks to be in his 50s now. So even if he were the youngest agent ever, he’d still look and be much older.
