Apparently. She heard his voice and we saw an image of him in the B&B when the wallet was on the floor. After it had been returned the ghostly thingie brought her back or whatever. Houdini debunked mediums in his efforts to contact Dead Mom. Perhaps the wallet creates a connection between the dead guy and the living person that persists.

Seemed kinda dull to me. Not really sure they had two hours worth of story to tell, so they padded it with quirkiness. Did like the communicator thingies. I’ll watch a couple more episodes to give it a chance.

It’s not as good as _Stargate_ or _Eureka_ but worth watching again.
That Channel does make some good series.
ETA: I think the football is circling the Earth.

Over/under - same number of episodes as The Dresden Files.
So they gather and store but don’t study the artifacts?
Too formulaic and the two agents very one-dimensional.

Actually, I thought they did a good job of introducing character elements in both which could be explored in later episodes. The guy is prescient, or at least has really good hunches… and wasn’t there something about his parents being dead, as well? And the girl has her dead boyfriend, who apparently died due to her inaction.

They are a goverment agency. They want to protect the status quo that’s why they don’t ‘study’ the objects. They want to neutralize them and safeguard them. A lot of the objects are probably beyond study. The magic lamp for example. It’s magic. They knew enough about it that it turns impossible wishes into ferrets, which implies possible wishes either get granted or turned into something else. It’s potential for misuse is great so better to lock it up.

She thought it was due to her being late - the ‘ghost’ told her that he got there early, and that she couldnt have prevented whatever it is that happened.

I don’t feel like I have enough information to make a decision. I guess I’ll give it another episode.
Not real sure about the go-cart. Why use that when there are better present day alternatives? At least with the video phone, you have an advantage over cellphones. (maybe reception too! Finally a device that is supposed to work in underground caves and the like)
Isn’t this the same story as _The Sanctuary_? They capture and protect/keep unknown creatures/objects.
Maybe someone at SyFy should have an original idea. Stargate:Universe?!!(or whatever) Isn’t that the 5th spinoff of that movie?

That’s the first thing I thought of when I saw the promos, that someone’s used the concept of W-23 for a TV show
some of my favorite “inventory items” from W-23;
An emergency teleport device. If you press the button, the device will instantly vanish.
The Dr. Seuss edition of the Necronomicon. “From there to here, From here to there, Cthulhu will be Everywhere.” The illustrations are chilling.
TA 8oz. spray can with a plastic nozzle extender. The can is labeled “Magic Blue Smoke Replacement” . Label instructions direct the user to spray this stuff on broken/suspect electronic parts, right in-circuit. Treated parts will be like new in functionality, but their appearance won’t change. A treated toasted transistor will still look toasted, but it will work fine. There is enough ‘blue smoke’ in this can to fix a thoroughly toasted/zapped personal computer.
An ordinary-looking banana peel. It is nearly frictionless, making it extremely difficult to handle.
'One gross of black office telephones. Each is labeled “GRONCO Tech Support Model 922FSA.” They appear to have all the standard office phone functions, such as Conference, Redial, Hold, and Park. There are two additional buttons: Slap and Throttle. You are not entirely sure you wish to plug them in and try them out.
A cubic sphere, you get a headache if you look at it too long.

Third. And SciFi didn’t even originate the first one, they just took it over when Showtime didn’t want it anymore.

It seems to me like they’ve gotten very little funding since they first started. Like the government said “We need you to protect us all, but it’s gotta be secret, so we can’t budget any funds for you.” Didn’t Artie says he’s been asking for screens for the past 10 years?

He should start supplementing their funding by selling ferrets, then.

Maybe similar to _The Dresden Files_, some of the artifacts interact badly with more modern technology.
