# Warhammer online

Anyone else looking forward to or planning to play this game when it ships? I figured I’d post [this](http://www.warhammeronline.com/podcast/index.php) link with a series of podcasts about the game from the developers and then see if anyone around here is thinking about the game. From what my Collectors Edition paperwork says the open beta starts on August 15th and I believe the game is scheduled to ship next month (IIRC on the 22nd).

I’ve been playing off and on in the beta but I haven’t done any RvR or PvP type play…which looks like the entire focus of the end game. The only info I know about how that works actually comes from the podcasts I’ve been watching, but the RvR looks WAY cool…sort of like DaoC but actually done right. Castle sieges! Cities looted! All kinds of fun and carnage. Besides Fallout 3 this is the game I’m most looking forward to this year (since Empire Total War and DoW II won’t ship until next year…and since I’ve given up on WoW).

Anyway, thoughts?

I just got my beta invite a couple of days back, downloaded the 9 gigs or so of game, and the servers are down right now :smack:. I have to admit the RvR excites me the most, although im generally looking forward to just playing something that isn’t Warcraft right now.

I’ve been playing beta for a while. I’m not allowed to post anything about the game but i can say i canceled my preorder without breaking the NDA.

Just the opposite here…I’ve been playing the beta since the first closed beta (of and on as my time is really strapped) and I’ve gotten more excited about the game the more it’s progressed…especially hearing the developer plans for RvR and PvP. Sounds way cool.
