If you think about it, Matt Millan does a worse job running the Lions than George Bush does running the country. Well, its a toss up at least. ---

Bush is limited to 2 terms. These guys could screw the Lions up for generations. Our sports talk shows are firing on all cylinders now. Most of them actually started to buy into the program . They have reacted nastily . ---

Yeah, Mitch Albom - for non-Detroiters, that guy who writes those nice glurgy books that keep being made into Hallmark movies - tore 'em a new one in yesterday’s paper. Don’t feel sorry for Lions fans. As **gonzomax** and **Ol’ Gaffer** said, the Lions are a rousing success. If the fans would stop happily shelling out craploads of money to watch terrible football, perhaps the Fords would be motivated to shake things up a bit. As it is, they’ve clearly got a winning formula, so why change? ---

Can you imagine how many top draft choices we have screwed up. ? Year after year. I think Ford wants to be able to lay them off like a Ford worker. Fight their unemployment and slash benefits. He resents these uppity football players demanding raises. he was at odds with Barry almost every year. ---

I don’t like our owners, but at least they’re not the Fords, and really, what the hell do you have to do to get fired as the Lions GM. Do you actually have to be caught by “Catch a Predator”, or will simply opening fire on a group of orphans do it? I really try not to complain too much about the niners. Part of the reason we had the real down years that I think we’re just starting to get out of is because of our abuse of the salary cap. We paid for the past with the future. ---

I’ve said (maybe not on the board) that I’m not that enthusiastic about this year - we have no chance of every outcoaching anyone and rarely will we even be in the same ballpark of coaching quality, so throw a much harder schedule at us and it’s going to be a rough year. Sunday night will say a lot. Btw, who here hasn’t gone through a drive through naked? ---
