Requiescat in pace.

Truely, [his shit was fucked up](http://www.sing365.com/music/lyric.nsf/SongUnid/877F62DEDEB09ACE48256C95000D9F19).

I was watching “Keep me in your heart for a while” yesterday. At first I expected to feel sorry for him but he was so brave and honest about his illness it was impossible to feel pity.

I have always loved Warren Zevon. He had [an angelic face](http://image.allmusic.com/00/amg/cov200/drd600/d666/d666667t816.jpg) and a wicked sense of humor (See lyrics above). I bought his album Excitable boy on vinyl and played it relentlessly.

The cover for “[The Wind](http://www.warrenzevon.com/images/thewind.jpg)” his album released on August 26, 2003, is unforgettable. Taken after he had already outlived his initial prognosis, he looks tired but resolute. [The full shot](http://members.tripod.com/~Zevonaticism/zevonfullcovershotthewind.jpeg) shows that he still looks pretty hot in leather pants.
**Keep me in your heart for a while**
_“Shadows are falling and I’m running out of breath / Keep me in your heart for a while / If I leave you it doesn’t mean I love you any less / Keep me in your heart for a while.”_

Goodbye Warren, I think I’m gonna miss you for a long long time.

- WAIT FOR THE DAY YOU’LL GO AWAY
KNOWIN’ THAT YOU WARNED ME OF THE PRICE I’D HAVE TO PAY
AND LIFE’S FULL OF LOSS, WHO KNOWS THE COST

AND I THINK I’M GONNA MISS YOU FOR A LONG, LONG TIME

I THINK I’M GONNA LOVE YOU FOR A LONG, LONG TIM\*

Thank you for everything.
