Hated it. How many lines did Gosling have in the movie? I think he said 50 words in total. ---

The wife and I loved Drive. I urge the OP to watch it. ---

I thought it was pretty good, but overhyped (by many critics) and I can see why it’s polarizing. I found the early-80’s-throwback stylization a bit too deliberate at times—the opening credits, for example. Overall not a bad film, though, and the initial sequence of Gosling pulling a job was incredibly well done. ---

I split the difference. I’m keeping an eye out for a cheap copy of _Drive_. But while I’m waiting I ordered a copy of _The Driver_, the Walter Hill original from 1978. What happened to Walter Hill anyway? There was like a five year period when he was great and then he dropped straight to nowhere. ---
