I believe Stranger was commenting, in a round-about way, on the unjustified criticisms of the Russian/Ukrainian engineers. I interpret what he said as a holding up to ridicule the stereotypes of Russian/Ukrainian engineers. I don’t think he was putting those folks down. Agree that his efforts to imitate the “accent” was over the top. The Russian scientists I know certainly don’t sound like that. Very, very smart people they are.
See “MIRV missile defense”. You didn’t read my post, there. I acknowledge that about 6/10 of those cites are correct. I merely am saying that Stranger’s arrogance, where he instantly responds to almost any technical post with a “know it all” answer that is sometimes wrong, is quite irritating at times.
It can be irritating, but the only thing I’ve known him to be wrong about is the location of the retro rockets on the Gemini spacecraft.
