Was Jesus Black?

Inasmuch as the entire Christian faith is based on the fact that Jesus was the son of God, not Joseph, why would he resemble any of Joseph’s ancestors?

The Biblical Evidence:

Jesus was descended through a documented bloodline of God’s chosen people traceable ultimately straight to Adam. The chosen people were instructed to avoid intermarriage and frequently distrusted their neighbors. Therefore, Jesus was made in God’s image. Our only evidence for God’s color is that he states early on that he is ‘a jealous God’ and so he is probably quite green and Sxe dopefiend is correct.

The Apocryphal/Historical Evidence:
Jesus was born to Aramaic speaking Nazarene Jews, possibly the illegitimate son of a ROman soldier. In either case he was probably of olive-brown complexion with dark hair. Beards were in.

The Scientific Evidence:
Jesus, if he existed, was human and hterefore statistically unlikely to differ quantitatively from the physical characteristics of his community, see above.

The Untenable evidence:
Jesus was divine, and obviously outshone all his peers, and must, therefore have looked like the very best of people who, coincidentally, look a lot like me.
