As for the examples you requested, while I can “hear” a couple in my mind, I’ll be hanged if I can recall the titles. Perhaps the Fortieth Symphony you referenced? The Jupiter Symphony? The memory, she’s a-going fast. . . .

Well, a couple of examples do come to mind. That much-too-much-played piano piece in C has a G-C-G-C-G progression at the end of the first section. And the Gloria from his 12th Mass alternates between tonic and dominant chords at several places (and some sections are pretty much all dominant-tonic progressions).
