A couple of weekends ago my wife and I went down to Kenosha and took a tour through the Jelly Belly plant.
Not only do they make Earwax flavor, they also make Dirt and Booger flavor.
But the grossest one was the Vomit flavor. I swear it tastes just like real friggin’ PUKE! And it smells like barf too! It is really, REALLY gross. Even my dog wouldn’t eat one and he’ll eat anything! It was hillarious watching grown adults gag on them at the tour. One woman actually spit up in the garbage can!
I’ll bet kids love this stuff.
Redsland was joking, Friedo. George Bush Sr. once said during his presidency, “I do not like broccoli. And I haven’t liked it since I was a little kid and my mother made me eat it. And I’m President of the United States and I’m not going to eat any more broccoli.”
Well, if you’re gonna eat jelly beans, Jelly Bellies are definitelly a good choice. The flavors are intense. I think that they’ve gone overboard with the Harry Potter Bott’s Beans.
A portrait of Ronald Reagan in Jelly Bellies.
Jelly beans (not necessarily Jelly Bellies) are a pretty good choice if you’re watching calories and/or sugar intake. You get the sweet flavor in a small package.
Thank you, Walloon! I was dying out there!
It was at the Cow Palace, San Francisco, California, August 19, 1964.
Reagan also loved popcorn, but had to give it up because of ileitis.
Actually, they said they liked Jelly Babies, a (yes) baby-shaped candy made by the Bassetts company in the UK. Since we don’t have Jelly Babies in the USA, the stateside fans figured that jelly beans were the same thing, and took to lobbing handfuls at the Fabs…much to the latter’s annoyance, as jelly beans are hard, and it must have been like having tiny pebbles tossed at them.
Well yeah, he had them everywhere, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he actually likes them.
And that’s basically what I remember hearing. Or reading. Or seeing. You know.
But…
Hmmmm.
What was the deal with him? Did he really use them as a prop to make himself look good, when in reality he hated them?
I suppose I could have mixed the two up.
By the way, I didn’t know any of that about the Beatles.
Cool.
