Hey Nerds. In the movie when the Lord of the Rings goes to his evil twin-brother’s house and the evil dude is all like “you woulda found the ring before, ‘cept you keep hittin’ the can-bong with the Grommits.” (Grommits right, them lepperchauny, midgity-fuckers?) Then when one of the Grommits heads out with the Lord of the Rings on horse named Faxmachine, the other grommit gave him the last of his sack. That shit is all about smokin’ pot, right? That’s about the point I got kicked out for shroomin’ and laughing too loud, so I didn’t see the end. Word. ---

I thought it was like pot laced with PCP and shit. But there must be some 'shrooms at some point because Aragon is straight up trippin BALLS when he starts dreaming about Aerosmith’s daughter and shit. ---

I’ve wondered about this for years - there’s an actual line said to Gandalf about ‘your fondness for the halfling’s weed’ which has often made me wonder what kind of weed was being discussed… ---

The movie plays the smoking both ways and makes it ambiguous that it could be pot, not tobacco. The books have it pretty clear as not intoxicating. This is one change that is not all that irritating. ---
