# Was the original "Mr. Clean" a famous person's husband?

I’m sure this is a footnote within a footnote within the annals of Hollywood history.

But years ago I heard that the man who was the ‘live action’ Mr. Clean in the commercials years ago was married to someone fairly famous - or at least surprising. Who she was- I have no idea.

I’m sure [IMDB.com](http://IMDB.com) would reveal the answer, but I don’t even know what the real name of the old Mr. Clean was.

[Here’s](http://us.imdb.com/Bio?Peters+Jr.,+House) the IMDb link, but I didn’t see anything there about a famous wife. Her name was / is Lucy Pickete, if that rings a bell. His father House Peters was a famous silent actor.
