I’ve tried searching the IMDB and [soundtrack.net](http://soundtrack.net), but didn’t find anything. Of course, not all songs that are in a movie are always listed on the soundtrack.

The piece in question is the second movement of Bach’s Harpsichord Concerto No. 5 (BWV 1056). I recall it played on a piano. I know it’s pretty similar to the more-famous Sinfonia of BWV 156, but that’s not what I’m looking for.

[Here’s a recording](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6iHHhKokn4), played a bit slower than I recall being used in the movie.

I know the song well, but cannot recall it having been used in a movie. FWLIW, Wiki doesn’t say anything about any cinematic use: [Keyboard concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach - Wikipedia](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BWV_1056#Concerto_V_in_F_minor.2C_BWV_1056)

I remember [Slaughterhouse Five](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0069280/soundtrack) runs the opening credits to it.

It was in _Hannah and Her Sisters_, but I don’t think that was a piano version.

In this youtube video you’ve linked to, one of the comments below the video says that it is used in _Hannah and Her Sisters_.

Very pretty and a great selection, though I never saw Hanna And Her Sisters. I’m more of a Beethoven kinda-guy when it comes to the classics, but I admit I need to check out some Bach as well.

Great post, btw!

It sounds best played by a chamber orchestra . . . definitely not piano.

That’s it! The Glenn Gould recording really seemed like the one I remembered, too. (Also should have noticed the Youtube comments; I was just looking for a way for people to identify it). On edit: I suppose I should have clarified that only the harpsichord part was played on piano, not the orchestra part as in the Youtube video I linked.
