Was your college experience in 19xx as vile as campus life is often portrayed?

Damn, that 1970s classic rock will never go away, will it. That was exactly my time in college, and in retrospect (IMO of course), it was mostly a very bland and uninspired era. I liked it well enough then, for parties and such, but I can hardly stand to listen to it now. I like a lot of music from earlier and later.

I got ‘pre-gaming’…I think it’s pretty universally understood. Things were sure different in the 1970s, at least at UCSD. From my sophomore year on, I used to buy alcohol at a neighboring liquor store, and I was a year younger than most of my class. We didn’t have to ‘pre-game’. We just gamed!

I wasn’t sure. One time my friend from Villanova and two of his pals stopped by at my college. He’s like “you guys have really good parties” and I’m like “dude…this isn’t the party. This is just everyone pregaming in their rooms with their friends. The party is going on in about an hour when you see a hundred people in the party room and a line in front of the house down to the street.” Basically the Animal House shit you see in the movies.
