# Wasn't there supposed to be a plan in the first 30 days to defeat ISIS?  So where's the plan?

You actually expect the president to make public the details of his plan to defeat ISIL? Really?

For some reason I can’t link to the article in the San Jose Merc yesterday, but it was this (from an AP story by Robert Burns (hah!) and Lolita Baldor):

**Pentagon chief offers plan beat Islamic State**

_Defense Secretary Jim Mattis on Monday gave the WH a plan to “rapidly defeat” the Islamic State group, a Pentagon spokesman said._

The article goes on to say that this was in response to an EO issued by Trump on Jan 28. Note the 30-day interval.

Now, I will be happy to line up with folks and wonder how realistic this plan is, but there is a plan, and it was submitted on time. That is all.
