I also have the thing with the odometer. In particular when I’m reversing, I flip my head back to the front every now and then, to try to catch the thing moving - just to check.
And now I come to write that down, it looks incredibly dangerous and irresponsible and I shall desist immediately.
I don’t have the clock thing - but my husband is really obsessive about it. He has, on occasion, called me from another room to look at a digital clock when it says 12:12 or some such number. Once, he woke me up to witness the joys of 3:33 a.m. He never did that again, I tell you.
