# Water from bar soda guns and fast food soda dispensers.  Filtered or not?

I work in a restaurant and people keep telling me that the water from our soda guns and dispensers is filtered, but nobody knows where the filter is. I suspect it’s the same stuff that comes out of our faucets, but I really don’t know. So when you use a soda gun and press the water button, is there any difference between this and regular tap water? If so what?

I used to run a nightclub and we had one of thoose soda gun thingies. The filter was before where CO2 and syrops were connected to the system.

Cold water - filter - rest of system.  
Because cold water is the only thing that is common to all the mixes.

So go look for the CO2 tanks and you should probably find the filter.

Consider that if nobody knows where the filter is, then nobody has changed it recently. In other words, it’s making matters worse, not better.

Maybe the guy who delivers the CO2 changes the filter.😃
