Somewhere (I think either CNN or NPR) _someone_ suggested that the reason Giuliani didn’t comply with the discovery request was that whatever is in those documents is so damaging that he’s better off losing by default. ---

To be fair, the man is now known to be in a state of near constant inebriation. He may not have been in any mental state to realize he was in a hotel room, much less that there was a camera. I’m not really even joking about that. Given his propensity for alcohol, I have serious doubts as to his typical level of awareness. That does not, of course, excuse his behavior but does go a long way to explaining many of the otherwise inexplicable things he’s done the last several years ---
