# We are in a contest to win an IVF with Dr. Sher at SIRM - Please Vote

As many of you are aware, my husband and I have been trying to conceive our first child for the last five and a half years. We are ‘unexplained’, and started with Clomid, moved on to IUI and finally attemped IVF this past March. I have been pregnant five times, but all were early losses, and one was an ectopic where I lost my left tube. We are now in the process of adopting an older known child, should she become available.

Fertility treatments are not covered by our insurance, so we are out of pocket, like many people in our position. I have had a consultation with Dr. Sher of the Sher Insitute for Reporductive Medicine (SIRM) in Las Vegas and hope to cycle with him, but we are looking at tens of thousands of dollars, plus travel costs and medication. In light of this financial burden on couples, SIRM occassionally holds contests for free IVF cycles. This time, Derek and I decided to enter. The entry consists of a four minute video, which is voted upon during the week (voting closes Friday, December 14), and the top 5 - 10 videos go to a judging panel made up of previous winners for final selection.
I am posting this to ask for your support and vote.

Thank you everyone!
I believe you can only vote once per IP (that’s what they said), but I was able to vote again this morning from the same computer using my google account rather then my Facebook account (which I did yesterday). If you feel so inclined, maybe try it out with different accounts and try tomorrow as well.
And unfortunately, the contestants can’t see the numbers! That drives me crazy, I wish I could see where we rank!

I didn’t have to log in. I clicked a name under one of the images thinking it would show me more about them, but it registered a vote for them - UGH! So I voted for yours, too, and I hope that worked to “even out” the voting. I’ll vote again tomorrow and Friday and hope that puts you over the top.
