At least in terms of uniforms. The league is really popular right now, and the owners are raking in the cash, but any of the money that comes from the ugly merchandise is tainted. What in the world is going on with the uniforms? Monochrome? Does anyone like this look? Who decided it would be a good idea? The “third color” jerseys? The Browns wearing orange jerseys? The _Bears_ wearing orange jerseys? When did the Bears ever wear orange jerseys? In 1994 the “throwback” uniforms – worn before throwbacks were cool – were OK, because of the novelty. Now it just seems like marketing gone crazy. ---

You had to love the Dolphins throwback jerseys. Dear Gawd. I’ve just recently stopped rubbed the burn balm into my eyes from those. ---

Those just looked silly. It’s a marketing ploy and it’s getting out of hand. This might seem petty, but does anyone else think the “NFL Equipment” shield on the collar of the jerseys looks stupid? I thought it was OK when it was the NFL shield by itself, but then Reebok had to make sure everyone knows who makes the jerseys. That will keep me from ever buying an NFL jersey. How long before the NFL decides to sell ad space on the uniforms? ---
