My Wife was able to go home around 2:30 and so far Becky has had no accidents. She did wipe out a window screen in our family room, I will need to repair it.
She has been very good so far, I have to get her signed up for obedience training soon.

Too late, I already got the very nice dog. We have two cats already. That is plenty.
For future reference and just as general information, there are a lot of breed-specific rescue organizations that have dogs in need of a good home. Most, if not all of these dogs are in foster care rather then a shelter, so the transition to the home is easier. They will also take the dog back if it is not a good match, but they do proved a wealth of information prior to the adoption.

I love chowder’s comment. Dogs can be a real pain in the ass. So can cats. Doesn’t really matter – they just do what they do. 17 year old humans is another story.
