I think Washington can take a perverse pride in breaking down one of football’s brightest and self-important players. After one season as a 'Skin, [Deion says he can’t do it anymore](http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A62894-2001Jul27.html). Primetime as left the building.

I am not sorry to see him go. Yes, he was a great player, but his hotshotting early in his career and his pious-BS “Now I’m hotshotting for the LORD” crap left me wishing he was never in football.

What a turd.

Whatever talking about the Lord that Deion may have done, I missed it. OTOH, I heard Deion talking about Deion a _whole lot_. Guess that showed who was Lord of Deion’s life.

It’ll be good to see Darrell Green starting at corner again. And even if it turns out that he’s finally too old to play there full-time, he’s still been the genuine article - as both a player and a human being - for all these years.
