I think the exact quote is, “We don’t have to show you ANY stinkin’ badges!” something like this: \*\*Bogus Federale:\*\*We are the Federale’s,you know,the mounted police. \*\*Bogart:\*\*If you’re the federale’s where are your badges? **Bogus Federale:** (agitated)Badges!We don’t need no badges!We don’t have no badges!WDHTSYASB! I **think** this is the exact dialog,but someone may come along who knows better. ---

Here, I think, is the correct line: “Badges? We ain’t got no badges. We don’t need no badges. I don’t have to show you any stinking badges!” Which along with “play it again” and “I don’t give a damn” has been condensed into a pop-culture catch phrase. Posts mentioning _Treasure of the Sierra Madre_ as the origin of this oft-misquoted line are technically correct, but I would dare say that most people know it from _Blazing Saddles_, which spoofs the original with the version given in the OP. Hope this helps. ---

I’m 57, and had forgotten that it was in Blazing Saddles. I only knew it from the original. I wonder where a 21 year old knows it from? They obviously didn’t just go see Blazing Saddles last night.
