"We don't want four more years of Obama"

Thats why I can’t vote for Hillary. 4 more years of Obama’s policies is just too much. She’ll stack the Supreme court liberal for the next 40 years. There won’t be any balance at all. We could end up with only one or two conservative voices on the court. She’s on record for taking our guns just like Obama. 4 more years of Common Core education and other government meddling in our lives.

given the other choice. I probably won’t vote. This election’s choices absolutely sucks this time.

Bah! Solid B.

Is it your contention that there are [del]zero[/del] insignificant numbers of Republicans to whom Ukulele Ike’s carve out does not validly apply?

IIRC, they were blocking aid because people were deliberately attaching pork-barrel spending to the relief aid.

Obamacare: His only real accomplishment and it made everything wrong with american healthcare worse, more regulation, more buck passing, more freebies, more bureaucracy. It is expensive, will probably permanently break the individual health insurance market and does not cover nearly as many people as it claimed it would.
The debt: The fiscal stimulus passed and it was just a giveaway to the usual suspects. Unemployment soared anyway. Now there are trillions more in debt with precious little to show for it. Obama failed to appoint people to the fed in a timely manner when it would have helped the economy. The result is the weakest economic recovery in history. We are now at what is probably a permanently lower rate of economic growth.
Foreign policy: He repeated all of the mistakes of Iraq in Libya and the result was Benghazi and a horrible migrant problem. His approach to Syria has been all over the road, the result has been the rise of ISIS and a horrible human rights disaster in Syria. ISIS terrorists are now attacking all over the west and there has been no coordinated response or even any semblance of a plan. His response to Russia advance in Crimea was incoherent at best. He lied to get a treaty done with Iran that gives them billions of dollars for not much in return.
Crime: He inherited an almost 20 year drop in crime and some of the lowest crime rates in fifty years and now crime is going back up again. The Ferguson effect has cops feeling unsupported and young black people are dying by the hundreds but he has done nothing.
Domestic policy: Despite campaigning the first time as a uniter and a healer he has governed in a hyper partisan way. The IRS targeted citizen groups based on their political opinions and he did nothing. His administration tried to force the Little Sisters of the Poor to pay for birth control and a unanimous supreme court had to put a stop to that. His education department sent a memo to universities to end due process when it comes to sexual assault on campus. Now universities are being sued for not suspending people just for accusations under Title IX and being sued for suspending people for accusations because of denial of due process. His education department is trying to micromanage discipline at the elementary and secondary levels by putting pressure on schools to make sure minorities don’t get disciplined at higher rates. This will result in more classroom disruptions and worse outcomes for all the students who get stuck in class with troublemakers.
His executive order about immigration knowingly violated the constitution. He told people that he wanted to change the law but could not without congress and then when congress would not go along he did it anyway.
That is enough for now. I will be glad to see the back of him.

Except for getting thousands of Americans killed for nothing, which to me was by far the largest mistake of Iraq. Maybe not for you.

Umm, cite for exactly how many guns has Obama taken away?

Hillary keeping fossils off the Supreme Court sounds a fine idea to me.

I don’t see that suggesting certain types of armament might not be quite so easily available is the same as “taking away” guns. As a Texan, I know serious gun owners who are glad to vote Democratic. But they collect fine shotguns or hunt or keep guns for their country life–they don’t have wet dreams of overthrowing the government.

And you* do* know that Common Core is not a Federal program?

Generally, I urge everybody to vote. I agree that you ought to stay home!

I really don’t think the federal government could make you learn anything. You’re safe!

“We don’t want four more years of Obama…”

Compared to what?

I certainly would choose him over either of the presumptive 2016 nominees.

But I’d take Rubio over him.

Does not appear that I will have that option.

I just posted this link in another thread, so I’ll post it here also. It depicts, in pictures, ten of the most contemptible aspects of the President with a funny name.

So far as Presidents go, I think Obama is doing a pretty good job!

Remember Vietnam, Watergate, Monica and that dress, Bush Jr., etc, etc.

Just curious, why him? He seemed to me to be the biggest loser of the cycle. If he had just stayed out and padded his experience a bit he could have avoided the Trumpastrophe and been one of the 2020 favorites. Now he’ll always be the thirsty little guy whose needle got stuck in the groove at a debate.

Soared you say?

Seventy-three months of uninterrupted job growth! That’s a record.

(But I have a hunch that fact isn’t over-emphasized on FauxNews.)

But see, it would have been much faster had we given the rich all kinds of tax cuts n stuff.

Because that is how it works.

You know, I had clean forgotten about the Bibi thing. I’m still in awe at the sheer fuckyouness of it.

Maybe you should ask them because they don’t even remember doing it, and it was a bullshit excuse in any case:

Okay and now looking back on eight years of Obama, here are five things I feel he really did fail at:

  1. Guantanamo Bay: He promised he would close it. But there are still prisoners there.
  2. Drone strikes: A form of warfare that seems to have become an ongoing program.
  3. Health care: The ACA is progress of a sort but it’s really only a half-step forward. Which means we’re going to have to fight out this issue all over again in the future.
  4. The national debt: There should have been serious attempts to turn this around.
  5. Republican obstructionism: You can blame this for several of the above. Obama obviously didn’t initiate this. But Obama deserves some blame for allowing it to continue as long it has. At some point, Obama should have abandoned any hope of working with the Republicans in Congress and gone to war with them. The Republican logjam isn’t just hurting Obama’s political agenda; it’s hurting the country.

I think this is going to be an ongoing issue beyond this or the next President.

As opposed to sending troops everywhere?

Sure, HIS failure. 50+ attempts to overturn it, absolute opposition to anything better. I think you’re mischaracterizing just who failed here.

No memory of Obama offering more spending cuts in exchange for tax increases that would seriously cut the deficit? Again, mischaracterizing who is responsible for the failure here.

Yes, because he would have made more progress with such a tactic. :dubious:
