From [this article](http://www.nytimes.com/2013/10/16/us/politics/congress-budget-debate.html?hp&_r=0) in this morning’s NYT:

> [@](#):
>
> But Representative Charlie Dent, Republican of Pennsylvania, said hard line conservatives may oppose the current proposal as insufficiently tough on the health care law and moderate Republicans could balk as well.
>
> That could force consideration of the Senate measure.
>
> “There are no winners in this process. Everyone loses,” Mr. Debt said.

Oops, the article on-line now is updated to correct this (mentioned in a footnote at the bottom). It seems, furthermore, that the article has been somewhat re-written, as the entire paragraph (as quoted above) either isn’t there, or has been re-phrased beyond recognition.

For historical accuracy in reporting, they need to follow the example of the illustrious Straight Dope Message Board and put a 5-minute time limit on editing articles once posted.

I figured that would happen, especially after I pointed it out to my friend who works at the Times as a copy editor. Good for a laugh this morning, though.
