I am in no way religious, but there at times like these, familar words bring me some comfort. I have no idea if **Scott** was Jewish, and I certainly don’t mean to offend anyone, but I like the Mourner’s Kaddish, because as I have come to take it’s message as a celebration of the soul. Maybe this makes no sense but it comforts me somewhat and perhaps it will comfort others. **The Mourners Kaddish** _Yeetgadal v’yeetkadash sh’meh raba’ balma’ deev’ra kheerootay v’yamlikh malkhootay b’khaiyay’khon oovyome’khon oovkhayai d’khol beyt yeesra’el b’agala’ ooveezman karee’v v’eemroo 'amen._ Glorified and sanctified be his great name in the world which is created according to his will. May he cause the reign of his kingdom in your lifetime and in your days, and in the life of all the house of Israel, speedily, yes, soon; and say, amen. \*Y’hey shmey raba m’varakh l’olam oolomey olmaya’. Yeetbarakh v’yeeshtabakh v’yeetpa’ar v’yeetromam, v’yeetnasey v’yeethadar, v’yeet’aleh v’yeethalal sh’mey d’kudsha b’rikh hoo’, l’eyla’ leyla’ meen kol beerkhata’ v’sheerata’, tooshb’khata’ v’nekhemata’ da’ameeran b’alma’ v’eemroo 'amen.\* May his great name be blessed forever and forever eternally. In this prayer, we also pray for peace - from apparently the only One Who can guarantee it - peace between nations, peace between individuals, and peace of mind. Paradoxically, this is, in fact, the only true comfort in the case of the loss of a loved one. That is, to be able to view the passing of the beloved individual from the perspective that that person’s soul was gathered in, so to speak, by the One Who had provided it in the first place.☹ ---
