Red Nose Day is a commemoration and fundraising day for SIDS victims and research IIRC. ---

In the UK it funds shelters for battered wives, to help runaway children and charities to prevent abuse amongst elderly people in such places as care homes. The money for oversees is used to try to put an end to such things as poverty and homelessness in Africa. Humble apologies. I was only aware of the [Red Nose program](http://www.sidsaustralia.org.au/mos/WA/rnd.htm) in Australia that had been adopted from the British one, and which I erroneously assumed had therefore the same aims as the GB version. Mea Culpa. :smack: ---

Was anyone awake to watch the Comic Relief shift at 1am last night? The highlights included the awarding of a £3500 ruby-encrusted dildo to a lucky punter and Drunken Fame Academy Karaoke (during which one of the contestants toppled off the stage into the crowd.) Outstanding! ---
