I’m itching to go to my second one.
The first wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I met a lot of really nice and interesting people, including **The Sonoran Lizard King** and **Lizard Queen** , **GIGObuster** , **Stranger** and his kind SO, **DesertDog** , **Lel** for about the 1,000th time 😃 and even **Coldfire** and **Heloise**.
Sadly, I missed the last one that **SkipMagic** was able to attended and I still haven’t had the chance to meet a few other Arizonians who have been to them in the past.
Any possible way another can be planned?

Maybe it’s time we do this. Maybe I’m just now noticing it, but it seems like there has been a lot of Valley of the Sun Doper activity lately.
My one and only Dopefest was back in June of 2003 (when I was brand-spankin’-new to the Valley), and I met **lel** , **GIGOBuster** , **DaToad** , and **Padeye** (may he rest in peace.) I didn’t even know those other people lived here.
We also have **ArizonaTeach** , **Bosstone** , **wmulax93** , and a few others whose exact names I can’t remember and I’m not going to say because I don’t want to get them wrong, and I’m not going to search because I don’t have all day, but you know who you are! 🙂
Several of us seem to be into comic books and/or video games, so I don’t think we’ll lack for things to talk about.
What does everyone think?

That’s because it’s too damn _hot_ to go outside, so we’re all inside at our computers. 😃
I wouldn’t be averse to it, but I’m not a big one for social gatherings. If there’s plenty of interest, though, how could I say no?

All should propose places and the next time to meet, and I propose to do this next month if possible.

As we started our Dopehood in the Phoenix area, and whereas the Sonoran Lizard King wishes to honor all Phoenician Dopers for the stolid steadfastness with which they endure the untold tribulations of the area, His Lizardhood would like to send an emissary to this Dopefest. If proper diplomatic protocol can be established.

I plan to spend some time in the Phoenix area in July. I’m strongly considering moving there and will hopefully be there on interviews in early July.

Ever been here in July?
Well, they say if you’re going to move somewhere cold, visit in the winter first, so I guess the same applies to the summer here.

Yes, lived there for a few years. July is actually a good month. Not as good as June. Monsoon season is something I don’t like, but normal July weather is certainly welcome.

I’ll be back in Michigan getting married from tomorrow (June 23) to July 17. I’ve been thinking about a D-Fest here lately, too, since I’ve never been to one and have seen a ton of Phoenicians (or Mesa-donians like me!) on here in the past couple of months.
