Odd thoughts while taking a shower this morning: On **Big Bang Theory** we have met only some of the character’s families. Who is left? Leonard - Met Mom, haven’t met Dad and siblings Sheldon - Met Mom and twin sister, haven’t met brother, father deceased Raj - Met parents and one sister, haven’t met the rest of his siblings Howard - “Met” Mom, father absent, no siblings Penny - Met Dad, only child, haven’t met mother Bernadette - Met parents, no siblings Amy - Met Mom, no other mention of family There seem to be several possible story lines to be explored here if the writers care to. Especially Howard’s father. ---

Howard’s biological father was obviously Montgomery Scott. Howard was conceived during a brief but torrid dalliance that occurred off-screen in Star Trek IV. ---

Yes she did. So that’s one sibling I missed. **Oak** , I like the way you think. But it doesn’t work. Scott was in SF in 1986. Howard was born on 1983 or thereabouts. ---

I don’t think a storyline about Howard’s father, who abandoned him would be funny. It would be easy to have him show now that Howard is an astronaut , but not funny. I think seeing Penny’s family’s reactions to her boyfriend & friends could be funny. But they have already done that a bit with her father. The storyline I want to see is Penny jealous because Sheldon’s assistant is making moves on Leonard. Or how about more background on Stewart & his art? ---

Amy has an elderly aunt who had a birthday that Sheldon did not want to attend. I don’t remember her mother in an episode. I think we will meet Howards Dad, eventually. Leonards Grandmother (w/ Alzeimhers) apparently got naked in Leonard/Sheldon’s apartment just before Penny took a shower in the pilot. Leonard’s siblings are ultra high achievers, IIRC. Penny brother is a chemist? That is one euphemism.😃 ---

Amy’s mother was shown early on;she was seen on computer. Amy & Sheldon were telling her, yes, Amy did have a boyfriend. Who would we cast as Sheldon’s Mee-Maw? Besides Betty White? Oh - I would love to see Sheldon & Leonard’s mothers meet on the show. ---

I’m still waiting for he guys to realize that, out of all of them, Penny’s family is the only one that thinks of her as “the successful child.” Howard, obviously, doesn’t fit. But Leonard’s siblings far outclass him, Sheldon’s family thinks he’s crazy and has no comprehensin of his work or what it might mean to anybody, and Raj’s family completely rejects any accomplishment that does not result in a Grandchild. Penny is the only “Golden Chld” in the bunch. ---

Estelle Parson for Sheldon’s MeeMaw. Estelle and Laurie Metcalf can reunite their _Roseanne_ feud. She is 85 and has an acting credit as recently as last year. Her first one since 2005. ---

Sheldon’s family may not understand what he does, but both his mother and sister have said onscreen that they’re very proud he can do it. They know he’s a giant in his field, even if they don’t know why. ---
