# We were vandalized...sort of.

I hope your cops are less over-worked than ours. Our car windows (along with all neighbors, about 16 cars in total) have been broken/shot out (with a BB gun) twice and our car stereo stolen twice as well. Both cars.

The cops never even came out. It is so frustrating. We are hoping to make it a whole year this time.

You still want a report filled so the police are aware of the problem. They’ll be watching. You shouldn’t hold back, because the police are busy, everybody is busy and it’s their job. Next time they come to do the budget and look at the personnel requirements, enough stuff like this may mean they get a new officer. It doesn’t matter though, you need to report crimes, because ignoring them doesn’t make them go away. The biggest problem with people damaging vehicles is that they can hit 10 cars at a time easily and get away fast. This year I’ve seen a lot of people going to jail that have been caught doing the majority of vandalism in the last couple years as juvenals, and now are adults. Most of them have been arrested for drug charges. The breaking and entering and malicous damage has been related to getting their drugs in the end.
