Part of my concern with Thor is, well, he’s _THOR_…Everyone else is either a normal guy enhanced by technology, or a normal guy afflicted with Science Gone Wrong™…Thor is a Norse God…how are they gonna work THAT in? ---

I think the argument is that any human characters would be grossly outmatched by an actual God of Thunder in the Marvel Movieverse. I can’t say I disagree right now. Hopefully they don’t blow it when Thor comes out next year. ---

Thor is next. They found his hammer after the credits. They had a Captain American comic book and shield also in IM2. I missed it, but I read that the news footage from The incredible Hulk was playing in the background behind Nick Fury at one point. ---

It may simply say he has to “appear” and that they need to work around his shooting schedule for other films (which frequently becomes a contract out when timing can’t be worked out) or it may require him to commit months to the project on their schedule and their terms.
